Important Rules
During the official Free Fishing Weekend, residents and non-residents alike can fish in both public fresh and marine waters without purchasing a Basic or Saltwater license. You do not need a WMA permit either. However, all daily creel limits, size restrictions, and gear rules remain fully enforced by LDWF agents.
